Math

Our high school math program is offered to all students in grades 9-12. The classes offered are traditional, but include some projects for students to demonstrate new methods of learning. The courses offered are those of traditional school: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Financial Literacy, and Statistics. Students may also enroll in dual credit courses at CNM or UNM. CNM requires students take the Accuplacer to be placed in the appropriate math course. High school students need four credits of Mathematics in order to graduate. We look forward to you taking courses in our mathematics program at Tierra Adentro of New Mexico!

In this math class, students will build on their knowledge or ratios, factors, and multiples that they learned in fifth grade, extend their knowledge of the number system to both positive and negative integers, and begin to represent mathematical situations algebraically. The mathematics in this course is applied in various ways to deepen students' understanding of the course content.

This math class is a study of many themes including whole numbers, ratios, integers, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and pre-algebra.  This course will include many hands-on activities designed to increase student’s understanding and real-world examples of the subject matter.

This math class is a pre-algebra course to prepare students for high school algebra. Students will work extensively with equations and functions in a variety of applications. Students will also perform transformations on the coordinate plane and study data distributions.
